And, I love that they did this all on their own...first Ethan sat down, then Austin joined him....then came the 'cheers'. No input from mom on this one! It was totally without prompting, and these are the moments I love to capture between the boys.

Today Austin graduated from 4K.

His next step? Hmmm.....summer vacation, then Kindergarten! Yay! I know he's more than ready. He's checked everything off the checklist of what he's expected to know before he starts Kindergarten...the ABC's, numbers 1-10, colors, shapes, how to hold a pencil....Geez, once upon a time this is what kids learned while in Kindergarten. When did this change?!
Austin has mixed emotions...he's excited he graduated, but extremely sad to have to say 'goodbye' to his teachers, and more importantly (I don't think this has completely sunk in yet...most likely will come September) to say 'goodbye' to his friends at daycare/4K. He's been with the same group of kids, growing bit by bit each year, since he started daycare at 6 months...and now he and his friends will be going to different elementary schools. He will make some new friends...and he will be ok. :)
