Sun Day on Saturday

Saturday morning we packed up the truck and headed due East. We were itching to be somewhere else, have some time for relaxation and laughs, and to be in the company of friends. For me, personally, moving from one city with a river and streams to one that is completely lacking, I honestly miss having instant access to water. But a 45 minute drive isn't that bad at all.  Since it was a fabulous, sunny and virtually a cloud-free day out, we took advantage of it and met some friends out at Lake DuBay for a few hours. The boys enjoyed the sand immensely. So did the adults.

Ethan doesn't really care for the water all too much yet. When we're at pools, it is another story though. I think it has to do with the mud, and the waves...and not being able to see in the water. But he's getting the hang of things.

The little man ran to the water and then just stopped short of the water and just stood there. I thought it was a bit odd...so, I grabbed my camera from my lap and ran toward the water and snapped the photo before he had the chance to move. A friend that was standing a few feet away said "He's lettin' it go..." Huh? Oh, yeah...he is taking a pee! I only put swim diapers on him when we're at a pool, so here he is sans swim diaper taking a pee. I thanked him for running to the water and not peeing on the blanket he was just sitting next to me on.
Austin is turning into a regular fish, running toward the water, running in the water, and back out again. He divides his time equally between water and sand...

...digging holes, and being buried in it. (Please excuse the water on my lens that is blurring out Ethan's face. Sorry lil' bud!)
I love it when other people insist on grabbing my camera to take a photo so I am included in pictures..I'm the one always behind the lens. And a cold beer on a sunny Saturday afternoon was perfect. (Gracias Melina para la foto y la cerveza!)
We all stood around in the parking lot when it was time to go and vowed to do this again...and again...and again.... And we will!
