Random blah...blah...blah...

I spoke too soon when I said just the other day that 'neither of my kids have pooped in the bathtub'. A statement I was weirdly proud of. But, leave it to someone to make sure that statement never leaves my mouth again! While getting ready after my shower, an eager Ethan wanted in the tub so I put a little water in and flung his diaper off, and put him in the tub. I literally turned around and finished getting ready. He was right there, I could see him in the mirror I was looking into. I got my moisturizer and face powder/foundation on. Then I turned around and saw them....laying there - flung on the bathmat, floating in the tub, and in his hand as he was scooping them up and getting them out of the tub. Ewie, how gross!

I am starving as I type this. I have a colonoscopy tomorrow with lab work beginning at 8am, with the actual procedure at 10am. I am 'cleansing' my colon as we speak. I couldn't eat anything all day except for Jello and popsicles (no red, purple, or pink) or drink anything except clear chicken broth, Sprite, Propel...water....and had to take 4 Dulcolax tablets at 3:00pm (which I think did absolutely nothing). Just at 5:00 I started sipping on 64 oz of Orange Gatorade that has a 238 gram bottle of Miralax dissolved in it. It'll take me 2 hours to drink this as I have to drink 8 oz every 10-15 minutes. I'm opting for the 15 since I don't want to get sick and throw up or get a stomach ache. I chilled the Gatorade last night, and dissolved the Miralax in around 4pm. I have a feeling it'll be a looong time before I get the urge to drink orange-flavored Gatorade again. The last colonoscopy I had was in early 2000 (has it really been a whole decade?!) and had to drink this powdered crap called GoLytely mixed in a gallon of water that tasted like celery water. Yuck! At least this time around it'll taste better!

I love doing laundry but maybe you already knew that about me. I also love hand-washing dishes. I prefer it over my dishwasher anyday.

Tomorrow we will make pretzels from scratch. I'll put up a post on that...we'll see if the pretzel making actually happens tomorrow. Might have to wait until Thursday, depending on how sleepy I am after the colonoscopy. I'm hoping for tomorrow.

Summer vacation is winding down and I don't want it to. I do enjoy teaching, but I love staying home with the boys and doing things spur-of-the-moment. I love being lazy with them and pretending to be a kid again. Oh, to be young again.....

Time for another MiraLax cocktail....
